The 10th International Children’s Singing Festival Brežice takes place over 3 days – from August 21st to 23rd, 2026:

August 21, 2026: Semi-finals, Part 1
August 22, 2026: Semi-finals, Part 2

The semi-finals will take place at Dom kulture Brežice, Trg Jožeta Toporišiča 3, 8250 Brežice. For festival participants, rehearsals start at 1:00 PM according to the schedule provided in your latest confirmation sheet, while for visitors, doors open from 5:00 PM onwards, when the semi-finals officially begin.

August 23, 2026: Grand Finale and TV show recording

The Grand Finale will take place in the courtyard of Brežice Castle (Posavje Museum Brežice), Cesta prvih borcev 1, 8250 Brežice. For festival participants, rehearsals start at 2:00 PM according to the schedule that will be sent to each finalist on Saturday evening, while for visitors, doors open from 7:00 PM onwards, when the finale officially begins. Parking for the finale is available in town along Cesta prvih borcev or at the “Pod obzidjem” parking lot.

Parking for Semi-finals Part 1 & 2 – Dom kulture Brežice

Roadwork, upgrades, and renovations are regularly taking place in the Municipality of Brežice, which is why some roads will be closed during the festival. We kindly ask all participants and visitors to park at the temporary parking area near Dom kulture Brežice. This area is located between the tennis courts and the Brežice Library (Knjižnica Brežice), in the immediate vicinity of Dom kulture Brežice.

Soundchecks

On the day of the festival, you must attend your soundcheck at the time specified in the table above. Rehearsal times are carefully scheduled to minimize the waiting time between the rehearsal and the performance for our youngest, six-year-old participants. Soundchecks are ordered from the oldest to the youngest participant, whereas the performance order goes in the reverse direction — from youngest to oldest. This ensures that the youngest singers are less fatigued, while older performers have sufficient time to prepare and change after their rehearsal. You do not need to arrive at the soundcheck in your stage outfit. Shared dressing rooms, complimentary water, and snacks will be available for all singers.

Accreditations for performers

You will receive your accreditations immediately upon arrival at the soundcheck, and they will also be valid for Sunday’s Grand Finale. Semi-finalists who do not qualify for the finale will receive trophies for their successful participation during the final event, as the organizer wishes to show appreciation to all participants. Accompanying persons and supporters pay a nominal entry fee of EUR 5, in exchange for which they receive a voting ballot and a bottle of water.

Signing of Consent Forms

During soundchecks, parents or legal guardians will be required to sign a consent form for the publication of audio, video, and photographic recordings of festival participants. They will also sign a GDPR declaration authorizing the use of the provided contact information (email and phone number) for communication purposes. Without the submitted consent forms, participation in the performance will not be possible.

Attendance at the Sunday Final Event – Award Ceremony

Participants must commit to attending the final event as well, where certificates and trophies will be presented to all participants, including those who do not qualify for the finale. The organizer aims to encourage the exchange of experiences and a sense of connection with the event as motivation for future performances. Justified reasons for absence include illness or personal circumstances. The organizer does not send uncollected awards by mail; therefore, we kindly request that if a participant cannot attend, at least a representative be present at the ceremony on August 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM to accept the trophy on their behalf.

Voting by Supporters and Fans

Once again this year, voting will take place via mobile phones. You will scan the QR code on your ticket, select one favorite in each of the three age groups, and then submit your votes by clicking the “Pošlji” (Submit) button. Each ticket allows for only one submission, as duplicate votes are automatically deleted. A valid Google account is required to participate, as votes are collected via Google Forms.

At the final event, under the new rules, voting is for only one favorite chosen from across all three age groups.
